About
A Masters graduate of Bangor University School of Psychology I teach the 8 week mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) course. I teach public groups, 1-2-1, in the workplace, and the Mindfulness in Schools .b curriculum.
Deepening one's own practice is an essential part of teaching mindfulness - how can you possibly teach someone about the intricacies of recognising and turning towards difficult and challenging mental habits or patterns if you haven't understood and experienced them yourself? In addition to regular meditation practice my teaching is grounded in 35 years experience of living with a spinal cord injury. I believe wholeheartedly that a balanced mind is key to leading a fulfilling and satisfying life, no matter what the challenge.
The benefit of mindful awareness is universal and there seems to be plenty of people looking for some form of practice to balance and calm the mind.
It's a real honour and a privilege to work with people in this way.
